Tile and Stonework
Tile is only as good as the waterproofing behind it. We get the layers underneath right.
Tile work covers bathroom floors and walls, shower enclosures, kitchen backsplashes, entry floors and fireplace surrounds. The finished surface is the visible part, but most failures start behind it, so we manage the whole system: substrate preparation, waterproofing membranes in wet areas, correct slope to shower drains, then setting, grouting and sealing.
Layout is planned before the first tile is cut. Where grout lines fall, how patterns meet at corners and niches, and where trim ends all affect the look, and we confirm these with you in advance.
In showers and tub surrounds, the waterproofing is inspected and tested before tile goes over it, because fixing it afterwards means taking the tile out.
