Roofing
A roof that keeps Vancouver Island rain out for decades starts with detailing, not just materials.
Greater Victoria gets most of its rain between October and March, so the roof is the first system that has to perform. We manage roofing on new builds and additions: sheathing, underlayment, shingles or standing-seam metal, low-slope membranes where the design calls for them, flashing at every penetration and wall junction, and gutters and downspouts tied to the site drainage.
The details decide the result. Valleys, chimneys, skylights, vents, and the junction between roof and wall cladding are where most leaks start. We coordinate roofing with framing and siding so that flashing is installed in the right order and nothing is covered before it is checked.
On new construction we aim to get the roof on as early as the framing allows, so the interior trades can work in a dry building.
Frequently Asked Questions
What roofing materials do you install?
Asphalt shingles, standing-seam metal and low-slope membrane systems, chosen to suit the design and budget.
Can you re-roof an existing house?
Re-roofing is available as part of a renovation or addition. Contact us with the house details for a free quote.
Do you install gutters?
Yes. Gutters and downspouts are planned with the roof and the site drainage so water is carried away from the foundation.
